Are you annoyed that the New York Times continually gives an annoying popup to upgrade your subscription even though… you’re already subscribed? If you use uBlock Origin (and you should…) you can add this to your custom filters to remove those entirely:

www.nytimes.com##.css-1kml3kd[class*="expanded"]

This was last updated September 4th 2025. I’ll try and keep it updated because every time I go to a new computer and I don’t have it I get (mildly) infuriated.

Kudos to the nytimes for being my only paid site where an adblocker is still required to remove annoyances! Usually they want to keep you paying! Although I guess they also still force you to call to cancel (even though you can sign up online…), which thankfully in some places is illegal but not in Canada.
